Jack and his uncle, Jupiter, have an extremely close bond. Jack has some level of musical aptitude as it is mentioned that he takes cello lessons and plays in his school's orchestra. Described by Morrigan as a dubious knack. Because he hasn't mastered his knack, Jack wears an eye patch over his left eye to act as a filter so his power doesn't make him insane.

Jack, like his uncle Jupiter is a Witness. There isn't much known about Jack's life and his family other than his uncle is Jupiter North. Jack is a firm Yule Queen supporter and pretends to hate Saint Nick, calling him a fraud and "enslaver of elves". He is shown to be helpful, as we saw when he gave blackpapers to Morrigan in case she needed it, and also when he found the truth about Jemmity park. He seems to be quite studious, as he spends lots of time practicing his cello and choosing to spend extra time at school. When he was thirteen, he was been noted to hate his knack, but when the Hollowpox outbreak came, he was proud of his ability to find and help infected wunimals. He usually prefers others not to nose into his private affairs. Jack is sarcastic, playful and cares deeply about those who are close to him. It is mentioned that he had black hair and brown eyes. Jack has warm brown skin, straight white teeth, and -most noticeably- a patch over his left eye. Later, Jack and Morrigan's relationship began to improve, becoming more like friends. Jupiter eventually took Jack and explained Morrigan's situation to him. When he looked up, he saw the wunder gathering around Morrigan and was shocked. Unfortunately, Jack wasn't wearing his eyepatach.

At one point he tripped in the middle of the night while getting milk, and Morrigan, having woken up, helped to clean the mess. Eventually, he went back to school but returned in December. He went to the Nevermoor Bazaar though Morrigan hadn't been allowed to go, causing Morrigan to dislike him further. Jack later revealed that he had been spying on Hawthorne and Morrigan.įor much of the summer, Jack stayed away from Morrigan and practiced the cello. Jack deliberately encouraged them to take measures to find it, although this wasn't necessary. At one point, Hawthorne and Morrigan let a shadow escape from the Hall of Shadows. Morrigan in turn disliked Jack, and they began to argue with eachother over a period. Around summer, he came back to the Deucalion, where he met Morrigan and took an immediate dislike to her. After this, he likely returned to his boarding school. During mornigtide, Jack attended the Deucalion's celebration and participated in the rooftop tradition with Jupiter.
